MR / Schenectady, NY.Yates Arts-in-Education Magnet School (urban elementary school) .Grade 4.Boy (9, West-Indian American and Caucasian, Aspergers Syndrome, mainstreamed) talks with elderly woman on field trip to nursing home. He has corresponded with her monthly throughout the school year as part of a year-long partnering project which combines reading, history, and writing activities with community awareness.
